NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Data Analyst based in our Daytona Beach, FL office.


The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role blends technical expertise with strong analytical thinking to develop dashboards, automate reporting, improve data quality, and translate business needs into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in modern data tools, and able to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to:


•    Collect, clean, validate, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
•    Perform detailed statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
•    Work with database engineers to build automated data pipelines and workflows.
•    Develop models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business decisions.
•    Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data ingestion and reporting.
•    Maintain documentation of data methodologies, definitions, and reporting standards.
•    Identify process improvements and efficiencies for data workflows.
•    Work with business intelligence engineers to build and maintain automated dashboards and reports in Tableau.
•    Present insights to stakeholders through clear visuals and concise summaries.
•    Provide ongoing support for reporting needs and ad-hoc analysis requests.
•    Deliver regular reports on audience performance, trend tracking, and post-event recaps.
•    Visualize complex data sets in clear, compelling ways for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand operational processes and identify data-driven opportunities.
•    Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations.
•    Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, and solution testing.

Required skills and experience:


•    Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
•    2–5 years of experience in data analysis, technical analytics, or similar role.
•    Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.

•    Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros)  and Tableau (preferred).
•    Understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data modeling.
•    Familiarity with SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
•    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical insights into business recommendations.
•    Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
•    Collaborative team player with a proactive, curious mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:


•    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
•    Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, and version control (Git).
•    Experience in fast-paced, data-driven environments such as sports, entertainment, or technology.
•    Familiarity in predictive modeling or machine learning.
•    Familiarity with Snowflake.
