    Position Overview

    Autodesk is looking for a Senior DevOps Developer to join the Autodesk Platform Services Data Models Team. The team delivers high-value, exabyte-scale and cloud data platform components powering desktop, mobile, and web products. This enables our product teams to build cohesive in-product data experiences, our partners to integrate and expand our data, and our end-users to work with their data across all Autodesk products.

    You will report to the Manager, Software Development Manager based in Canada, and the role is hybrid based in Montreal or Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and to help evolve developing the engineering discipline in a lean/Agile environment and to contribute to an organization committed to continuous improvement. You will be part of the team who creates amazing things and will learn from some of the best in the industry!     Responsibilities

    • Involved in all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant, and high-throughput service for our customers by applying cloud technology

    • Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects, and other development teams to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally

    • Contribute to software design and architecture by using cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle

    • Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness of the team in responding to customers and needs

    • Document and present your ideas and solutions thoroughly

    • Work with some of the smartest, and also teach us

    • Experiment, learn, and grow

    • Use the latest and greatest cloud technologies

    • Deliver code that millions will use

    • Mentor and be mentored

    • Make key decisions

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science Engineering or related technical fields

    • 5+ years of experience in DevOps

    • Extensive AWS production experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure

    • Understanding & curiosity of DevOps and site reliability engineering best practices, architectures, and methods

    • Customer-facing and service-oriented person

    • Strong understanding of Cloud Networking concepts

    • Experience with Kubernetes/ECS environments

    • Experience with configuration management tools and cloud automation (TerraForm, Ansible)

    • Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Spinnaker, etc.)

    • Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently

    • Experience using Docker to build containerized applications

    • Experience with networking and security concepts

    • Experience with overseeing and logging tools (New Relic, Splunk)

    • Experience with Hashicorp Vault

    • Experience with observability tooling like Prometheus and Grafana

    • Experience with database management: MySQL, Aurora, DynamoDB

    • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and Agile methodologies

    • Programming skills preferable in Java

    • API development experience (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)

    Salary transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
