Skills and Competencies
- A minimum 1 year of experience in data operations, automation support, or analytics within business or finance environments.
- Skilled in Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power Automate, and BI tools commonly used in operational workflows.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on attention to detail and reliable processes.
- Effective communicator, capable of collaborating with both technical and business teams, paired with a growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning automation and data management.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
Moody's Shared Services is looking for a skilled Data Operations Specialist II to join the Finance Data and Analytics team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of automated solutions to enhance process efficiency, monitor workflows, and drive operational improvements. This role includes leveraging automation tools, supporting data management and analytics activities in a financial context, and ensuring the maintenance and optimization of automation systems in a production environment.
- Monitor and maintain automation workflows across Finance systems, ensuring successful execution of scheduled and ad-hoc processes while promptly resolving issues.
- Support operational tasks, including dashboard updates, data refresh management, and troubleshooting within team tools.
- Assist in developing, testing, and deploying automation solutions using Python, Alteryx, Power Automate, and SQL to streamline manual processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation or data pipeline issues, document corrective actions, and rerun failed jobs as needed.
- Collaborate with senior developers and analysts to integrate AI-driven solutions (e.g., Copilot, AI Agents, LLM-based assistants) into daily operations.
- Maintain operational dashboards, monitor workflow performance, and support critical cycles like month-end close, while identifying opportunities for AI-driven process improvements.
