Overview
Visa is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who can bridge deep product expertise with clear business outcomes for Visa’s Value‑Added Services (VAS) across Europe. This role partners with banks, issuers, and fintechs to help them understand how Visa’s Pismo platform fits into their technology architectures, design trusted enterprise‑grade solutions, and collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to accelerate adoption of AI‑native, cloud‑native issuing and digital solutions.
As part of Visa, Pismo is redefining the future of issuing and core payments. Pismo’s technology enables financial institutions to move beyond legacy constraints and deliver modern digital experiences at scale. The platform plays a critical role in Visa’s broader ecosystem—its cloud‑native, real‑time issuing and core processing capabilities serve as a foundation and enabler for multiple Visa Value‑Added Services.
A key focus of this role is solutioning complex, multi‑product opportunities that combine Pismo with other Visa services, delivering cohesive architectures that maximize client value. This position involves guiding clients through integrated solution designs and shaping end‑to‑end modernization programs that are scalable, secure, and ready for implementation. The role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands‑on engagement, with responsibility for driving architectural clarity, influencing senior stakeholders, and supporting major European institutions as they modernize their technology landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Pismo technical sales strategy across Europe, leading discovery, solution design, and evaluation cycles with major issuers and fintechs.
- Design complex, multi‑product solutions that combine Pismo with other Visa Value‑Added Services to deliver cohesive, end‑to‑end architectures.
- Own strategic technical engagements from initial discovery through solution definition, ensuring designs are implementation‑ready and aligned with Visa’s delivery capabilities.
- Act as a senior technical advisor, supporting client strategy discussions and guiding complex solution decisions that extend beyond traditional payments.
- Translate diverse client requirements into scalable, secure architectures suitable for real‑world, regulated environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery to align roadmaps, address challenges, and accelerate client outcomes.
- Represent the senior technical perspective in high‑impact, strategic engagements, building executive confidence through clarity, credibility, and expertise.
- Drive technical enablement by developing reusable frameworks, materials, and best‑practice architectures.
- Identify emerging client needs and market opportunities, contributing to the evolution of Visa’s VAS and Pismo strategies and supporting large‑scale platform modernization.
This is a hybrid position. Expectations regarding in‑office presence will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
