The VP level, Electronic Sales Trading role is the primary contact point for Institutional clients trading Low Touch equities in NAM. The role involves active day-to-day Low Touch sales trading coverage, idea generation, cross-product content delivery and market intelligence. The Sales Trader will also work with the broader franchise across Global Markets, including: High Touch Sales Trading, Program Trading, Prime Brokerage, Advisory and Derivatives Sales. The overall objective of this role is to help grow our electronic market share, generate commission, source liquidity and be a conduit for the customer base into the Equity markets.

Responsibilities:
Actively cover new and existing trading accounts to grow market share and overall Equities footprint
Act as primary point of contact for any/all Low Touch cash trading needs – providing a High Touch approach to service
Work closely with Sales and Execution Advisory Services teams to increase mindshare
Develop, implement and drive client coverage and growth strategy
Develop action plans and accountability framework to ensure we achieve our growth and market share goals
Actively market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service
Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues
Develop client ownership of high-profile Institutional accounts
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
Lead with strong risk and controls
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
7-10 years of sales trading experience
Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy-side community
In-depth knowledge of equity market structure, analysis and fundamentals
Proven client relationships and Institutional client-specific knowledge
Hybrid knowledge of Low and High Touch equity trading
Broad client relationships preferred
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven negotiation and persuasion skills and fluency in additional languages preferred
Must be able to obtain and maintain the following licenses: Series 7, 63, 57.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred.
