The Senior Manager, Content and Activation, will collaborate directly with the Director, R&D Integrated Planning and Activation, to ensure cross-functional connectivity and consistency in internal communications across the global R&D organization. Key responsibilities include integrated communications planning, content development, and delivery for R&D-wide initiatives, managing shared communications tools / platforms and assessing key metrics to optimize impact.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Director, R&D Integrated Planning and Activation, and in partnership with Corporate Affairs and R&D functional communicators to develop and deliver communications materials for cross-functional R&D initiatives, culture campaigns and change management efforts, ensuring elevation of the R&D Identity and integration of R&D strategic priorities.
- Create compelling multimedia content, deliver creative storytelling, and standardize templates, playbooks, and training programs in partnership with R&D functional communicators to drive consistent and efficient messages across channels. Provide advanced visual design support.
- Develop, integrate, and manage an R&D-wide editorial calendar with clear cascade of information updates, employee engagement, and change management communications.
- Measure reach and engagement of R&D-wide communications by collecting and consolidating metrics data/reports, evaluating performance, and creating stakeholder presentations that communicate progress, results, and recommendations to maximize impact.
- Manage and drive utilization for shared communications tools / platforms. Optimize in accordance with best practices, latest data, and stakeholder input.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Communications or related field. 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior experience in R&D or scientific environments preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, content / project management, or related roles. Proven record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Visual design and production capabilities preferred.
- Strong project management skills and knowledge of project management tools and practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. Communications measurement experience preferred, with proficiency in survey distribution and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Must take initiative (e.g., do things without being told, anticipate the future, identify and take advantage of opportunities, etc.)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Staffbase, Unily for communications development and delivery
