Job Description

This role will be primarily responsible for Strategy, Project Management & new product launches. Will drive strategy for new product entry in the country. Will play a crucial role in ensuring the sales growth of affiliate by tracking the strategy execution and ensuring cross functional excellence by supporting the Country Manager with MIS/ Governance. Will facilitate GM & ASIA leadership in decision making for new products/ projects/ business reviews. This role will develop strong and effective collaborations to increase access for AA products by building partnerships. The role will leverage strategic priorities for the affiliate such as NPI establishment, New business/model development and key transformation projects to support Affiliate vision toward to 2030.

Project Planning & Management

  • Set up a Project Management Office to monitor, track all key identified projects within the affiliate
  • Work with the Country/ Asia/Area function leads of the critical projects to facilitate, communicate, set up meetings and ensure that Projects are progressing and delivered as per timelines with quality
  • Work closely with the GM, inform about project progress and KPI’s
  • Disseminate Project Management skills within the organization – build cross functional excellence to plan / execute.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to projects of high importance
  • Work with Project leads to ensure that all key projects are progressing to completion as per timelines Determine pricing and positioning based on strategic goals of the products in the target segment, roll out products base on availability and regulatory time lines
  • Create & lead ad-hoc strategic projects & processes to support local top line and bottom line growth including holding budget responsibility for these.

Support the implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that will support and improve operations in the affiliate

New Product Planning & Introduction

  • Fully understand clinical profile and medical positioning and utility of global early development products and assess need for pharmaco-economic profiling to meet local requirements
  • Support Business Units in their endeavor to establish or modify local therapy or patient management. Guidelines in collaboration with the respective medical specialty organization.
  • Provide early assessments of new pipelines and identify pipeline opportunities
  • Develop in-depth new product planning strategies to ensure launch excellence by working with cross-functional colleagues Identify and evaluate new products market opportunities & revenue potential for India future growth based on in-depth understanding of the strategic market segments and therapeutic unmet needs
  • Be responsible for the evaluation of new product (pipeline)  opportunities with solid business case based on comprehensive considerations on  market, product evaluation, registration, clinical development and market access strategy. Present India commercial opportunities arcoss India,Regional and Global team to support decision-making
  • Establish close working relationship /well project management with internal functional teams from global /Regional / India to get endorsement and ensure the alignment of global, regional and India development program to address India-specific commercial needs for new products
  • Work with the finance team and Regional commercial team to develop accurate LRP forecast for pipeline products based on insightful market assumptions and the latest environmental and policy changes.

Deep dive in strategic TAs and develop India early brand plan for strategic products based on profound market knowledge and valuable business insights through in-field visiting, related analysis across internal and external data, business environment


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Post Graduate in Medical or pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Business Studies.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working for Tier-1 consulting firms
  • Experience in driving Projects/ Partnerships/ Go To Market models preferred
  • Experience in managing budgets Business acumen and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of new product launch and development process
  • Good execution and project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong personal drive and teamwork mindset
  • Keen interest in strategy and new product planning
