Overview:

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, forward-thinking audit and assurance professional to join our team! This isn’t your traditional “check-the-box” audit and assurance role. We are looking for someone who thrives on digging into detailed business operations, data, and complex systems to uncover insights, find improvement opportunities, strengthen internal controls, and drive smarter decisions across the organization.

You will lead and execute a mix of operational, financial, compliance, and blended IT audits and assurance projects.  You will also partner with business and technology process leaders to identify, mitigate risks, improve processes, and add value to help Senior Management navigate business challenges.

Why You’ll Love It Here at Shure

  • Established Excellence: Founded in 1925, Shure is known for pioneering innovation and setting industry standards in audio technology.
  • Trusted Quality: Shure products, including microphones and headphones, are globally recognized for their quality, reliability, and durability.
  • Inclusive Culture: Shure values respect, ethics, integrity, and diversity, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment for all Associates.
  • Employee Development: The company offers market-leading benefits, comprehensive work-life support, and numerous growth opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Flexible Work Arrangements: Shure supports work-life harmony with hybrid, remote, and onsite work options, providing modern, thoughtfully designed facilities for onsite Associates.
Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

Under direction of the Head of Internal Audit, you will:

  • Participate in completion of audit and assurance projects derived from the Company’s audit plan.
  • Plan, execute, and report the results of integrated audit and assurance engagements performed across various operations, finance, compliance, and IT disciplines.
  • Collaborate with operational business process owners and IT cybersecurity teams to evaluate system controls and emerging technology and data risks.
  • Perform risk-based assessments to identify internal control gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review operational workflows, financial transactions, and compliance with internal policies as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Deliver concise, impactful audit reports with practical recommendations that strengthen business value — not just internal control checklists.
  • Support Agile and data-driven audit techniques using analytics and automation tools to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management, helping teams understand risk exposure, prioritize actions, and implement corrective measures.
  • Engage business process owners globally to forge and foster healthy stakeholder relationships and promote the value proposition of the audit and assurance department.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and team culture on it’s path towards being a best-in-class team of business advisors.
Qualifications:

Critical Success Factors

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressive internal audit or external audit experience, ideally in a technology-driven environment.
  • Mastery of the audit project cycle (planning, scoping, risk assessment, fieldwork/testing, reporting, and follow up).
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new topics and emerging risks.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, business processes, and financial reporting frameworks (SOX, COSO, GAAP, NIST, etc.).
  • Experience performing or supporting audit of IT general controls, cybersecurity, and system access/configuration.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ACL, or SQL) and process automation concepts.
  • Ability to translate complex audit findings into clear, actionable insights that resonate with Senior Management, business process owners, and technical leaders alike.
  • Preferred certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or CRMA (or in progress).
  • Demonstrate leadership and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate across global teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Team‑oriented mindset, able to work independently with limited supervision when needed.
