Manager, Business Performance – Vacation Rentals

Introduction to the Team

Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners across hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), and more deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. Within this organization, the Vacation Rentals (VR) Business Performance team provides the analytical rigor, operational clarity, and cross‑functional alignment needed to achieve VR competitiveness targets. As a manager on this team, you will play a key role in driving the insights, rhythms, and performance frameworks that enable VR to achieve its scorecard goals.

Make an Impact!

The Manager of VR Business Performance will directly support the realization of the VR scorecard by owning specific KPI domains and driving the reporting, analysis, and insights needed to accelerate performance across the business. You will work closely with Operations, Product, Finance, Sales, and Analytics partners to ensure KPIs are measured consistently, risks and opportunities are surfaced early, initiatives are executed on time and deliver against their targets, and the business achieves its scorecard KPIs in your domain areas.

In This Role You Will:

  • Own the reporting, tracking, and performance analysis for a subset of KPIs within the VR scorecard, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and actionable clarity.
  • Analyze KPI trends to identify performance drivers, diagnose issues, and highlight risks or opportunities across your domains.
  • Build executive-ready materials summarizing performance, insights, and recommended actions; translate complex data into clear, concise narratives.
  • Partner deeply with Operations, Product, Finance, Sales, and Analytics to ensure projects are delivered on-time and achieve targets
  • Lead components of VR’s monthly and quarterly business performance rhythms, including KPI deep-dives, scorecard updates, and risk reporting.
  • Drive variance analysis and root-cause investigations for performance deviations; ensure follow-up actions are documented and tracked to completion.
  • Recommend and support prioritization of improvement initiatives that influence your KPI areas; help ensure alignment with broader VR strategy.
  • Continuously improve reporting frameworks, diagnostic depth, automation opportunities, and narrative clarity to enhance decision-making across VR.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Business Performance or related field
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience in tech or travel strongly preferred; VR or marketplace experience a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate clearly to senior audiences.
  • Proven success working cross-functionally across operations, strategy, analytics, product, or finance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort structuring ambiguous problem spaces and owning KPI domains in fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence through data.
  • Proven success managing and delivering programs

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
