    Position Overview

As part of the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division, you will help define and build the Autodesk Libraries Platform — a foundational building block for supporting the sharing of library data within teams and companies in Autodesk’s diverse portfolio of products. Our platform mission is to drive developer productivity, cross-platform device independence, and software platform consistency.

As a Product Owner, you will act as the focal point for a development team dedicated to the Autodesk Libraries Platform. You will work with product management, experience design, architecture, and engineering teams distributed across multiple locations to collect and prioritize requirements from two key customer groups:

    • Internal developers, who use the Autodesk Libraries Platform to build libraries for their end users
    • End users, who interact with those libraries within Autodesk products

You will collaborate with global scrum teams to deliver working software that meets the needs of both audiences. You will have the opportunity to work with talented teams and make a lasting impact on Autodesk and its customers.

    Responsibilities

    You will:

    • Partner with product management, experience design, software architects, leadership, and other stakeholders to shape and evolve the product vision and strategy for the Autodesk Libraries Platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Advocate for the needs of both developers and end users, ensuring their feedback informs platform improvements.
    • Write and refine epics and user stories and identify acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and scrum teams to ensure clear goals for delivery.
    • Ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear.
    • Prioritize the backlog based on value, risk, effort, and other considerations.
    • Define the scope of releases to ensure incremental delivery of platform value over time.
    • Actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to guide scrum team delivery and adapt plans as needed.
    • Review deliverables of the sprints and provide feedback to the scrum teams.
    • Communicate status and deliverables to stakeholders and collect feedback for the engineering team.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Platform-minded.
    • 5+ years as a Product Owner or Project/Product Manager in an agile environment.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Proficient in Agile practices and frameworks.
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Technical understanding of product development.
    • Customer-focused, able to translate needs into requirements.
    • Skilled in backlog management, release planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Commitment to continuous self and team improvement.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in platform projects or solutions.
    • Experience in using Jira, Confluence and Slack.
    • Real-world experience with Autodesk software, preferably Fusion 360.
    • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in an engineering field.
