When you join us as an Associate Instructional Designer, you will work with an elite team of trainers who share your energy, passion and commitment to learning and development. You will assess, develop, deliver and measure training to meet organizational development needs. Here, you're expected and empowered to be your best, to grow and to develop your skills.
Positions in this function are responsible for training within a function such as Claims or Customer Service. Does not train outside of specialty. May also be involved in the design process. *Employees in jobs labeled with -SCA- must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities
- Demonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in own function
- Sometimes acts as a technical resource to others in own function
- Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests
- Solves moderately complex problems on own
- Works with team to solve complex problems
- Plans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives
- May coordinate work of other team members
- Collaborate with appropriate resources (e.g., instructional designers, business partners, SMEs, business leadership) to identifyapplicable business needs to be addressed in training
- Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable operational platforms (e.g., workflows, procedures, systems) to drive effective
training - Demonstrate understanding of upstream/downstream impacts of the applicable operational processes (e.g., first-call resolution,
claims accuracy, timelines), including their impact on customers/consumers/providers - Demonstrate understanding of applicable business structures and strategies (e.g., business segments, Benefits vs. Services, interrelationships)
Identify and leverage appropriate internal resources in order to address issues that may impact the learning process (e.g., systems
access, facilities access)

Required Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Experience in Healthcare and training delivery, coaching and development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working frequently completed without established procedures
- Experience working independently
- Demonstrated extensive work experience within own function
- Demonstrated ability to act as a resource for others
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate others' activities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
