As a senior member of our provider credentialing team, you'll help us vet and document the competencies of physicians and other providers in our networks. This is a performance driven, fast paced environment where accuracy is key and you will be challenged every day. Our team is the final quality check before the provider is placed in our network. You need to ensure a high level of detail related to their quality and identify areas for credentialing improvement.
Positions in this function are responsible for all activities associated with credentialing or re-credentialing physicians and providers. Includes processing provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system ensuring high quality standards are maintained. Conducts audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance. Responsible for the development of credentialing policies and procedures. May oversee primary source verification activities. *Employees in jobs labeled with ‘SCA’ must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee processing of provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review and loading into the database tracking system
- Manage team in conducting audits and provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance
- Demonstrate great depth of knowledge/skills in own function and act as a technical resource to others
- Develop credentialing policies and procedures and oversee primary source verification activities
- Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with credentialing/re-credentialing, enrollment and/or privileging in the health care industry
- 3+ years of experience with healthcare accreditation and regulatory standards including NCQA requirements
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop correspondence to facilities and clinicians
- Proficiency with MS Excel & Word
- Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The salary range for this role is $49,300 to $96,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
