Skills and Competencies
- Approximately 8-12 years of communications experience is desired, ideally in or adjacent to the financial services industry.
- Strong leadership skills and executive presence, complementing deep technical communication skills along with an ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build lasting rapport through interpersonal relationships.
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop original content and programs with minimal guidance, coupled with appreciation for scalable and repeatable processes that help maintain efficiency in achieving our outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize and navigate a variety of activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment and strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional writing and editing ability, as well as high attention to detail.
- Acts with pace to seize opportunities, identifying and capitalizing on trends.
- Takes accountability and makes decisions boldly and efficiently.
- Creative, curious and agile, embracing change as an opportunity.

Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred, at minimum.
Responsibilities
The AVP – Employee Communications will help shape and deliver employee communications that connect colleagues to Moody’s strategy, culture, and purpose.
- Counsel our business partners on a range of strategic and tactical communications matters to help align the work we do with the priorities and objectives of our company and Global Corporate Affairs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, helping them establish and maintain visibility and voice, and increase the impact of the work they lead on behalf of Moody’s.
- Build relationships across the company to better connect people and information, resulting in a more informed, engaged, and inspired workforce.
- Create and implement content that is aligned with Moody’s tone of voice, ensuring the messages we share and the stories we tell are clear, concise, and compelling, resulting in our employees being more informed and engaged brand champions.
- Help our colleagues develop their voice to be bold, clear, authentic, and relevant in the stories we share about them.
- Contribute to our ongoing efforts to enhance how we measure the effectiveness of our communications work, particularly our content.
- Collaborate across Global Corporate Affairs to deliver aligned, strategic communication campaigns.

The group engages employees worldwide through storytelling to create experiences that help strengthen Moody’s culture and brand engagement. Employee Communications & Events is a part of Global Corporate Affairs at Moody’s which manages internal and external communications and engagement.
