Skills and Competencies
9+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience, delivering large-scale, production-grade systems.
Expert proficiency in at least one backend language such as C#/.NET or Java, with strong object-oriented and design principles.
Deep experience designing and operating RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems in a SaaS environment.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
Proven experience building cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or hybrid platforms.
Ability to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop mission-critical platform services that power a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem.
Define and drive long-term technical strategy aligned with business goals and platform scalability.
Build high-quality, well-tested backend services and shared platform components using modern engineering practices.
Lead architectural discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making across teams.
Mentor and guide senior engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.
Partner closely with product and engineering stakeholders to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions.
Champion best practices for reliability, security, observability, and cost-efficient execution in cloud environments.

The Platform Engineering team at Moody’s Insurance Solutions builds the core services, infrastructure, and developer tooling that enable our SaaS products to scale with confidence. As part of this team, you’ll work at the center of our technology strategy—solving complex problems, shaping the platform roadmap, and empowering product teams to deliver high-impact solutions faster and with greater quality.
