Purpose
The Senior Accounting Technician applies expanded knowledge of accounting principles and procedures to support department function. Utilizes multiple financial and reporting systems. Consolidates information from multiple sources for basic and ad hoc reports.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Withholding Tax forms, upload templates, amendments, clearing of payments, and reporting associated with the Withholding Tax form 480 as required by Department of Treasury (Puerto Rico).
- Responsible for routine entries into journals, ledgers and other accounting records.
- Executes assigned tasks according to defined processes or framework.
- Prepares and reports on departmental spending activity reports for key account types and functional areas. Uses intermediate computer skills.
- Performs multiple reconciliations and investigates reconciliations of items as needed. Initiates process improvements.
- Works under minimal supervision in day-to-day activities and receives general guidance for ad hoc tasks. Completes individual tasks and effectively manages time.
- Gathers data from a variety of sources and prepares routine and ad hoc reports. Arranges workload to complete assignments and routine work on time.
- Effectively manages unexpected changes in workload seeking guidance as appropriate.
- Completes work according to established procedures. Detects and corrects own errors. Establishes partnership with customers.
- Works under minimal supervision in day-to-day activities and receives general guidance for ad hoc tasks. Completes individual tasks and effectively manages time.
- Associates degree, preferably in accounting OR high school diploma and equivalent accounting experience.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills both in English and Spanish and customer support is required.
- Minimum 3-8 years accounting (or similar) experience.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
