Job Purpose

Improve existing manufacturing processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • · Test products per specified test procedures, achieving required quality targets
  • · Record test results and defect data as required per specified procedures
  • · Perform assembly steps at assigned station per work instruction
  • · Inspect own work and work of others to ensure the reduction of defects and enhanced product quality
  • · Operate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and bench fixtures per specified procedures
  • · Perform calibration checks on testing equipment and tools
  • · Clearly communicate the status of work, including issues preventing completion and offer suggestions to overcome issues
  • · Assist in the preparation of test procedures as well as quality and productivity improvement activities
  • · Provide feedback for the disposition of discrepant material
  • · Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems using schematics and other production material
  • · Perform assembly analysis using wiring diagrams
  • · Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • · Ensure all test equipment is operated in a safe manner
  • · Perform autonomous and/or preventative maintenance tasks as required
  • · Provide feedback on new processes introduced into production
  • · Effectively interface with all support groups to resolve production issues
  • · Provide assistance and training to test operators

Qualifications

  • · AA/AAS Degree in Electronics/Technician Certificate from an accredited technical source
  • · 1-2 years electronics testing experience
  • · Understanding of logic diagrams and Boolean logic
  • · Ability to read and follow work instructions and provide feedback for improvement
  • · Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including pallet jacks
  • · Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
  • · Proficiency with oscilloscope, multimeter, and other test equipment

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in battery/aerospace or technical field.
  • Proficient in use of electrical test equipment (DMM, Power Supply) and basic inspection tools (caliper, height gauge). 
  • Knowledge of circuits, DC voltage, and/or batteries.
  • Read, understand and work effectively with drawings and documentation including wiring drawings, test work instructions, test procedures, and test equipment operation manuals.
  • Familiar with space test processes and procedures and a good working knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery hardware.

General Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
