Job Description

The role is responsible for leading Visa’s strategic product and innovation agenda in Peru, ensuring high‑impact deployment of our solutions, technologies, and capabilities. The position requires a deep understanding of Peru’s evolving payments ecosystem and close collaboration with specialized and regional teams (core products, digital, non‑card rails, innovation) to accelerate adoption and unlock new growth opportunities.

Nature of the Role

The ideal candidate is a strategic, proactive, and analytically strong product leader, capable of connecting Visa’s product capabilities with the specific needs of the Peruvian market.

The role demands high autonomy, strong business vision, and the ability to influence the agendas of clients and ecosystem players—both established and emerging.

This position reports directly to the VP of Products (based in Bogotá, Colombia) and works in close alignment with hub and country teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Product Leadership

  • Develop and execute the strategic product roadmap for Peru, aligned with regional priorities, client needs, and market opportunities.
  • Deeply understand the Peruvian payments ecosystem, including new and emerging transactional flows, to anticipate market shifts and design high‑value strategic actions.
  • Provide thought leadership by analyzing market trends, regulatory evolution, and competitive dynamics, creating insights that reinforce Visa’s role as an innovation leader in Peru.

2. Deep Client and Ecosystem Engagement

  • Work closely with existing and emerging players—issuers, acquirers, fintechs, wallets, and new payment platforms—to understand their strategies, priorities, and pain points at a granular level.
  • Use these insights to increase Visa’s relevance, shaping a product offering that strengthens partnerships and drives growth.
  • Align Visa’s product vision with each partner's business objectives, ensuring faster and deeper adoption of the Visa product portfolio.

3. Go‑to‑Market and Commercial Acceleration

  • Lead the introduction of new products, capabilities, and innovations, leveraging regional and specialist teams.
  • Build strong commercial narratives, business cases, and enablement materials to drive product deployment at scale.

4. Execution, Monitoring, and Performance Management

  • Oversee the implementation of products and solutions, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with defined objectives.
  • Identify operational risks, challenges, and optimization opportunities across functions (client services, risk, marketing, etc.).

5. Innovation, Co‑Creation, and New Flows Development

  • Drive co‑creation initiatives, pilots, and proof of concept projects with clients and ecosystem partners.
  • Maintain a sharp understanding of how new transaction flows (A2A, QR, wallets, disbursements, online commerce, P2P, etc.) are evolving in Peru, identifying opportunities and leading initiatives that enhance Visa’s positioning in these emerging spaces.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
