Investor Stewardship Manager
We are seeking an Investor Stewardship Manager (with potential to appoint at Senior Manager level for exceptional candidates) to deepen our relationships with the global investment community and drive meaningful engagement on responsible business, workforce, and AI governance issues. This role will be central in building strategic investor partnerships, expanding our investor networks, and ensuring investor perspectives are integrated into our data products, research, and engagement offerings.
About the Role:
Investor Engagement & Partnerships
• Lead and coordinate meaningful engagements with investors on workforce, responsible AI and just transition topics.
• Expand and diversify investor networks across asset managers, asset owners, and stewardship initiatives.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships that strengthen our position in the investment community.
• Represent the organisation externally at investor roundtables, webinars, and conferences.
Consultations & Stewardship Activities
• Design and deliver structured consultations with investors on reporting frameworks, stewardship priorities, and ESG data needs.
• Gather, analyse, and synthesise investor feedback into actionable insights for research and strategy.
• Lead the development of investor-tailored engagement assets, products, and offerings.
Data Product Visibility & Business Case Development
• Increase the visibility and uptake of our data products within investor networks.
• Build business cases for investors that highlight the value of social and workforce data.
• Collect and develop case studies from investor engagement to feed into research papers, policy notes, and thought leadership.
Policy & Reporting Framework Expertise
• Monitor developments in global ESG reporting frameworks and stewardship codes (e.g., PRI, ISSB, CSRD, UK Stewardship Code).
• Advise internal teams and investors on implications of emerging policy and disclosure trends.
About You
• 6+ years’ experience in investor stewardship, ESG engagement, responsible investment or ESG equity research.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and how ESG data informs equity research and portfolio decisions.
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and stewardship codes (PRI, ISSB, CSRD, UK Stewardship Code).
• Demonstrated ability to lead investor engagements and consultations.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets and ESG integration, with particular insight into equity research and investment decision-making.
• Strong analytical and research skills; ability to interpret investor priorities and translate them into actionable insights.
• Ability to increase data product visibility and position offerings effectively for investor audiences.
• Excellent written communication, with experience producing investor-facing reports, briefings, or thought leadership.
• Relationship-building skills to engage confidently with senior investor stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with the capacity to link investor needs with organisational priorities.
Desirable
• Existing network within the responsible investment and stewardship community.
• Knowledge of social issues (human capital, human rights, just transition, AI governance) within ESG.
• Experience shaping stewardship priorities or contributing to ESG equity research outputs.
