CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

• Design and code highly scalable and reliable transaction processing systems.
• API development.
• Establish engineering best practices for end to end application development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Developing event-driven applications.
• Deploying application using containerization technologies and orchestration tools. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Basic Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure distributed applications (using REST, JSON)
2. Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Java, Python).
3. Docker and Kubernetes.
4. Tomcat and Spring Framework
5. Kafka and MQ
6. Automated and scalable CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and Maven
7. Distributed caching technologies Hazelcast and Redis
8. AI/ML Tools & Technologies (RAG, Fine Tuning, Context Engineering)

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:  This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $179,525  to $243,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
