Mobile Engineer III

In this role, you will:

Focus on utilizing the latest technologies and developing ever-improving strategies to best deliver high quality scripts. Own the development and quality of features being implemented on the Expedia iOS or Android app. Provide and participate in code reviews to assess overall quality and flexibility and the application of good object-oriented programming techniques. Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an Agile development team. Write automated unit, system, and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines. Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs. Work closely in a collaborative environment with other hardworking developers both local and in other Expedia offices around the world. This position is not eligible for relocation benefits or assistance. May work remotely or from home 2 days/week; must live within commuting distance of Expedia office.

Experience and qualifications:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine frameworks;

2. Proficient in at least one of the following: Kotlin, Java, or Objective C;

3. MVVM and modular architecture in large-scale iOS apps;

4. Apollo GraphQL, RESTful API integration, and state management with a strong grasp of feature flagging, A/B testing frameworks, and remote configuration and maintaining shared component libraries for multi-brand apps;

5. iOS CI/CD build pipelines, release management, hot fixing, as well as tools including Crashlytics, Firebase, Test Flight, and Browserstack;

6. Unit testing, snapshot testing, and UI automation practices using Appium and Cucumber;

7. Understanding of accessibility, dynamic type, iOS interface guidelines, and iOS/Android design systems;

8. Map related development - working with Map Kit and Google maps in a Swift UI and UI Kit framework.

The total cash range for this position in Austin, TX is $139,152 to $220,000/year.

• Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
