Skills and Competencies
- 12+ years of experience in data management, data operations, or remediation is required, with proven senior leadership experience owning complex, cross-functional data programs with executive visibility.
- Demonstrated success managing large, distributed teams, including contract and vendor resources, is essential for building and overseeing a scalable execution model.
- Strong hands-on expertise in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Excel and SQL is required to shape remediation logic and validate outcomes. Experience guiding teams using Power BI and Databricks is also necessary.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills are critical for serving as the executive sponsor and building trusted relationships with senior clients and internal leaders.
- A highly structured and disciplined mindset is required to lead complex, multi-workstream remediation programs and bring clarity to high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with Python-based analytics and automation is preferred.
- Experience operating in regulated or high-risk data environments is desired.
- A background in building scalable operating models or centers of excellence is a plus.
- Ability to travel on an ad-hoc/as-needed basis (~10%).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Data Science, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities Lead the enterprise-scale data remediation strategy and execution for Moody’s most critical clients and datasets.
- Own the enterprise remediation strategy for high-priority client and regulatory data issues, defining scalable frameworks that balance speed, accuracy, and auditability.
- Serve as the senior executive sponsor for Moody’s most critical remediation engagements, leading communications and building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Design and oversee large-scale remediation execution models, including internal teams and contract/vendor resources, establishing clear operating rhythms and quality controls.
- Lead complex, multi-workstream remediation programs using highly structured project management disciplines, setting clear milestones, dependencies, and risk management plans.
- Apply strong data manipulation skills to shape remediation logic and validation rules, guiding teams in the effective use of tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks.
- Establish clear documentation, audit trails, and executive-ready reporting on remediation status, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify systemic data issues and partner with upstream teams to drive root-cause fixes, continuously improving remediation efficiency and quality.
About the team Our White Glove Data Remediation team is accountable for the enterprise-scale data remediation strategy and execution for Moody’s most critical clients and datasets. We partner directly with senior client stakeholders and internal executives to resolve high-visibility data issues, ensuring the integrity and defensibility of our most critical information. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $208,200.00 - $301,950.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
