As a Senior Technical Program Manager within the Data Platform team, you’ll join a highly collaborative group building Zillow’s next generation of data capabilities. This team owns the foundational data infrastructure that powers insights and products across Zillow, partnering closely with data engineering, eventing, and platform teams to ensure scalable, well-governed, and reliable data across our systems so the entire company can unlock the full potential of our data.

About the role

This is an opportunity to grow your career as a Senior Technical Program Manager while shaping the future of Zillow’s data platform. You will lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives that modernize our data systems and ensure they scale with Zillow’s evolving business. Your work will directly influence how we capture, process, and deliver high-quality data that accelerates analytics, ML, and product development across the company.

You will get to:

  • Partner with Data Engineering, Orchestration, Eventing, and Product teams to define the roadmap and technical architecture for the next generation of Zillow’s data platform.

  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs, from definition through launch, ensuring clear ownership, alignment, and measurable impact.

  • Launch and scale new customer data products and services, including pilots, stakeholder onboarding, and long-term adoption and success.

  • Design and evolve reliable data ingestion, orchestration, and distribution patterns that power analytics, ML, and product experiences.

  • Define clear goals, milestones, and execution guardrails, and develop program management frameworks and templates that bring clarity and consistency across engineering and product teams.

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to maintain execution momentum, quality, and reliability.

  • Deliver platform solutions that meet the diverse needs of internal data consumers, product teams, and end users.

  • Influence technical and strategic decisions through structured communication and data-driven insights.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  •  8+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in mid-size or large organizations in roles such as Consulting, Product Management, or Technical Program Management.

  •  Proven ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes on time.

  •  Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across engineering and product teams.

  •  Demonstrated strength in risk management, strategic planning, and technical problem-solving.

  •  Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  •  A curious, accountable, and collaborative mindset focused on driving impact.

  •  Understanding of API, MCP, Databricks, and data processing tools such as Spark and/or GraphQL is preferred.

  • Here at Zillow, we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experiences.
