The Gross to Net Team, part of the US Therapeutics Pricing organization manages sales reporting of ~$70 billion rebates/discounts and ~$44 billion annual net sales. Quarterly reserve reconciliation of ~$16 billion in rebates and contra-receivable balances. Responsible for related systems/systems issues surrounding sales reporting and reserve reconciliation and analysis.
The Associate Director, Pipeline Rebates and Reserve Analysis, will be responsible for supporting internal and external auditor inquiries, assisting with Balance Sheet forecasts (LBE/PLAN), actuals and Cash Flow analyses, and completing the Pipeline rebates requirements impacting gross-to-net.
This position reports to the Director, GTN Pricing US Therapeutics.
Main Roles/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in managing the quarterly process of reviewing sales reserve reconciliations and analysis of ~$16 billion in rebate reserves, as well as contra-receivables accounts.
- Perform quarterly reconciliations for Pipeline rebates including DOH/ MOS analyses.
- Lead analytics for Pipeline rebates LBE, providing insights for financial planning.
- Collaborate with Price Forecasting monthly; analyze variances and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Review journal entries and ensure timely Blackline approvals.
- Lead or support internal and external quarterly and annual audits and reviews.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation, including IPE (Information Provided by Entity) shared with auditors.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop one direct report.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., contracting, government, price forecasting) to ensure alignment and provide critical information to all management levels.
- Operate independently and proactively, engaging with finance leadership to support organizational goals.
- Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert on Gross-to-Net Balance Sheet topics; deliver training and guidance to business partners as needed.
- Drive and advocate for process improvements and organizational change initiatives.
- A minimum of ten to twelve years of combined experience in pricing, forecasting, and/or accounting is required. Previous pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
- Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical and content skills. Blackline and Kernel systems experience desired.
- Ability to understand data management and reporting with a basic awareness of the possible technology platforms and solutions that can be leveraged.
- Ability to synthesize, critically analyze, efficiently communicate large volume of information, develop identify risks, recommendations and implement solutions is required.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to manage workload to meet critical deadlines under challenging time constraints.
- Ability to make decisions without full data set or with ambiguity and uncertainty.
