DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Warehouse Operations Coordinator acts as a formal resource responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations in collaboration with operations management. This includes overseeing activities across inbound, outbound, kitting, and inventory functions to ensure efficient and safe material flow. The role ensures compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards while supporting continuous improvement and workforce engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Stop work and immediately report any major injury or hazards.
- Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards promptly.
- Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Use and promote the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Foster a culture of interdependence by looking out for colleagues’ safety.
- Correct hazards within personal control and capability.
- Identify how daily work impacts the environment and minimize negative effects.
- Lead HSE training sessions and actively engage the workforce in safety programs.
Quality:
- Follow all applicable standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Identify and escalate quality issues to minimize cost and exposure.
- Conduct quality checks for damage, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
- Support continuous improvement by raising quality-related issues and suggesting process enhancements.
Delivery:
- Receive, sort, label, package, and store incoming goods to optimize warehouse space and material flow.
- Operate manual and automated systems to pick, pack, and ship products per customer requirements.
- Demonstrate competency in all core warehouse operations.
- Maintain efficiency by meeting defined cycle times and engineering standards.
Teamwork and Continuous Improvement:
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Complete all required training in line with business and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, process efficiency, quality, and team development.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, perform housekeeping and equipment care tasks, and support operator maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with skilled trades and support teams to identify and maintain equipment needs.
- Stay flexible and perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
- Preferred: Two-year university degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- May require licensing or certification to comply with export control or regional regulations.

- Trade Knowledge Application: Applies knowledge of relevant trade regulations to minimize risks and optimize costs.
- Mode Selection: Evaluates transportation modes and equipment types based on shipment volumes and business requirements to balance cost, quality, and delivery time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations.

- Experience in coordinating teams and managing daily warehouse activities.
- Willingness to work in shifts as per business requirements.
Work Environment:
- On-site role requiring hands-on coordination in warehouse operations.
- Must adhere to all Cummins HSE and quality procedures.
- May require flexible work hours or shift-based scheduling.
