DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating manual and automated equipment in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on welding and robotic systems. The role supports production goals by ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in daily operations. Operators work under direct guidance and are expected to follow standard procedures, contribute to continuous improvement, and collaborate effectively with team members.

Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.
  • Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promote a safety-first culture and participate in HSE training.
  • Identify and correct hazards within control and capability.
  • Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices.

Quality Assurance

  • Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
  • Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
  • Support preventive maintenance and feedback systems.

Production & Delivery

  • Operate welding cells and robotic systems to manufacture and assemble products.
  • Achieve production goals and maintain required cycle times.
  • Perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards).
  • Remain flexible and perform miscellaneous duties to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with skilled trades and support staff to identify equipment needing repair.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate effectively with peers and support teams.
  • Complete training and personal development aligned with business needs.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve quality, safety, process flow, and employee development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with welding cells and robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Licensing & Compliance

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
