Are you a logistics expert with a knack for coordinating international and domestic operations? Join our team as a Logistics Specialist! In this role, you'll manage and streamline the delivery of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipments. You'll collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transportation service partners to optimize shipping processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and tackle logistical challenges head-on. Responsibilities:
- Review the in-transit reports from our carriers and identify any exceptions or delays.
- Tracking and trace the status of shipments and monitor the critical shipments from origin to destination.
- Communicate shipment status to the Customs and Receiving department.
- Analize logistics cost and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service.
- Address and resolve any logistical issue that arise during the shipping process, maintaining open communication.
- Work with the Corporative Logistics team arranging transportation for goods shippping to our 3PL.
- Provide feedback on urgent shipments to stakeholders.
- Review DG Shipments to ensure the goods are properly labeled.
- Work with the Juarez shipping and customs teams on Northbound shipments to our 3PL in El Paso, TX.
- Craft and update Job Aids for the department as needed.
- File claims as requested for all modes of transport.
- Other duties or tasks as requested.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, International business, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in international logistics, supply chain or a related role
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of international and domestic shipping regulations, Incoterms 2020
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with platforms such as UPS and strong hands-on experience with Excel, Power Point, Tableau, Visio
- Language: Bilingual (Spanish- English/ English -Spanish) written and spoken (70%-80%).
