Position Summary


The Sr. Finance Analyst for Operations provides decision support and planning & reporting to factory and commercial teams for a specific division (ex: P&S, Meals, Beverage, GCK, etc.). Other key stakeholders the position supports include TAG, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other functions within ensuring supply.

The role includes the Sr. Finance Analyst for CAPEX as well in addition to Operations. Functionality includes providing strategic financial analysis and influencing business decisions on Capital investments and Digital Transformation in One Operations.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Factory – support factory finance teams, specifically the cost managers and their direct reports, to assist with financials regarding glidepaths, performance / actual results, capital projects, new product launches, make vs buy decisions, key strategic initiatives, etc. 
  • Commercial – work closely with Division Co-Pilots and FP&A to track OFs against targets and explain significant variances in actuals vs forecast. Communicate R&Os to signal information and trends needed for key decision making throughout the year. Also serve as finance representative on taskforce meetings for new product launches or other business ventures with the Division Co-Pilots. 
  • Total Ensuring Supply – supports various cross-functional teams within ensuring supply including TAG, Supply Chain, and Procurement. The work is needed to understand the financials of Simplex, PPV, Transportation, and other impacts.  
  • CAPEX - Foster a culture of driving discussions and challenging capital projects to ensure they contribute to value creation, process improvements, and waste elimination. Furthermore, offer actionable insights regarding Capital investment to facilitate informed decision-making. Prepare reporting and analysis of CAPEX and activities related through monthly, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in finance related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Exhibits solid understanding of P&L concepts and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of results
  • Synthesizes information from disparate sources to deliver comprehensive and actionable insights
  • Partners and communicates effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Self-starter, inquisitive and makes process improvement recommendations
  • Balances pressures and demands of multiple customers and competing priorities
  • SAP or other ERP system experience and knowledge
  • Preferred: experience working in a manufacturing environment
