Team / Role Overview
Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world.

The Digital Content Manager is a key member of the Communications team within Enterprise Services and Public Affairs. You will work with senior leadership and partners throughout the Global Communications organization and businesses to support reputation management and drive engagement on Citi’s digital channels. The person in this role should be comfortable working across various team functions in support of larger communications goals and will be actively involved in content management and development, process management, measurement and user experience.
What you’ll do
- In partnership with the Head of Digital Content and Social Media, develop and drive Citi’s digital content strategy on Citigroup.com
- Work with the team to advance Citi’s core communications goals and objectives
- Act as day-to-day lead for content on Citigroup.com, liaising between technology and communications, marketing or business stakeholders to make regular content updates, support core initiatives and execute campaigns on Citigroup.com
- Lead editorial strategy on the Citigroup.com newsroom
- Collaborate with technology, platform and agency partners to manage enhancements for both day-to-day functionality and larger strategic initiatives
- Provide guidance and counsel on content distribution
- Work with stakeholders to create custom web experiences surrounding key events and activations, acting as a strategic counselor and seamlessly balancing new requests against existing priorities and firmwide initiatives
- Assist in sourcing and developing creative assets for optimal use and performance across channels, partnering with creative and media teams when needed
- Support digital and social media elements of live and virtual live events in partnership with PR, production and digital teams
- Use metrics reports, monitoring to continually adapt and improve Citi’s web presence
- Be knowledgeable about new trends, best practices and opportunities in the digital space, identifying white space and opportunities for Citi
- Be a steward of brand voice, being mindful of consistency across business units and activations
- Partner closely with Communications leadership and teams to inform and advise on both ongoing communications work and areas of opportunity
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
What we’ll need from you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, communications, marketing or another related field
- Knowledge of communications or marketing and experience of increased responsibility, preferably with a large and complex organization
- Experience distilling complex subject matter into easily-understood digital content
- Strong understanding of web content and optimizing user experience
- Experience interfacing and collaborating with individuals in technical roles
- Aptitude for developing and shaping compelling content for internal and external audiences
- Ability to adapt copy across social and digital channels
- Knowledge and ability to apply fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization
- Subject matter expertise in social media platforms and trends
- Knowledge of social media channels and platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Familiarity with content management tools such as Sprinklr
- Strong attention to detail
- A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and proactively drive projects forward
- Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
- Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
- A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
