This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Job Purpose
Key leadership role within HR function supporting Energy Systems Line of Business and Power Electronics CoE. Position serves approximately 1,600 employees in countries throughout the world. Position reports to the Chief People Officer with dotted line reporting to the President, Energy Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as trusted people advisor for Energy Systems President and leadership team. Drive strategic alignment on people framework building a high-performing culture and highly engaged workforce.
- Build programs that upskills the workforce and people managers across the Energy Systems LOB.
- Lead and inspire direct reports and their teams to pursue our HR Vision and Mission through innovation globally.
- Set short and long-term strategy and oversee short-term action plans within HR for the Energy Systems Line of Business. This strategy should be derived from overarching identified key objectives.
- Ensure high quality recruiting and onboarding in support of business needs.
- Drive towards a high level of engagement in Energy Systems.
- Ensure the timely administration of our performance management process.
- Lead all due diligence related to acquisitions, RIF’s and disposals impacting the Energy Systems LOB. .
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all legal requirements.
- Drive process improvement and headcount alignment across the Energy Systems LOB.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR staff with regards to Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Training. Total Rewards and Shared Services.
- A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct oversight of 6 and indirect oversight of approximately 17 other HR team members.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Four-year degree and 10-15 plus years of progressive experience in HR. Demonstrated ability to lead large HR groups within a complex environment across multiple countries. Proven ability to work with other business units in support of global initiatives. Attainment of a graduate degree is highly desirable as is experience working outside of HR (Operations, Sales, etc.) in support of a manufacturing organization.
Language Skills: Fluency in English required. Any other language skills a plus.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to understand basic finance and ability to develop and present business cases in support of projects required.
Computer Skills: Must be reasonably competent with current applications/technology. Successful candidate will navigate business systems and utilize own skills when developing spreadsheets, presentations, performing analysis, etc.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PHR, CP or equivalent desired.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage up critical.
Other Qualifications: Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Will involve travel throughout the globe. Travel schedule will vary based on the current demands of the business.
COMPETENCIES: Successful candidates will have demonstrated successful experience working in a global organization leading a HR team in multiple countries across the full spectrum of HR: Employee Relations, Legal Compliance, Strategic Planning, Due Diligence, Succession Planning, Organizational Development, Recruitment & Onboarding, Change Management, Process Improvement, Lean and Performance Management.
