We’re building a more open world. Join us.

Introduction to the Team

We’re seeking a hands-on, high-performing individual contributor to join our Vacation Rental team. In this role, you will transform data into clear, actionable insights across multiple KPIs, develop processes to address complex business challenges, and identify growth opportunities. You’ll own analytics projects end-to-end—building datasets and analytical products, creating workstreams, and delivering impactful dashboards and recommendations to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Additionally, you’ll elevate the team’s analytics and visualization standards through reusable code, documentation, mentoring, and pragmatic use of AI tools to drive efficiency and scalability.

In this role you will

  • Lead end-to-end analytics projects (scoping, data engineering, analysis, visualization, delivery) that drive measurable business improvements.

  • Build reliable, repeatable datasets and pipelines from multiple sources using SQL and scripting languages (Python/R).

  • Create clear, persuasive visualizations and interactive dashboards for both technical and non-technical audiences (Tableau, Plotly, ggplot, etc.).

  • Automate recurring reports, monitor data quality, and optimize query performance.

  • Introduce and operationalize AI/LLM tools to enhance productivity (e.g., code generation, report automation, insight summarization).

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and data science teams; present findings, trade-offs, and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Produce reproducible code and documentation; share artifacts via Git and Confluence.

  • Apply statistical methods and intermediate ML techniques when appropriate (regression, classification, clustering); partner with Data Science to validate and scale models.

  • Design and analyze measurement strategies and experiments (A/B testing, pre/post analysis, causal impact, multivariate testing).

Experience and qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (Master’s/PhD is a plus) OR equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience: 2–4 years (with degree) or 4+ years in a comparable analytics role.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R.

  • Visualization: Strong experience in dashboarding (Tableau or similar tools).

  • Communication: Excellent storytelling skills; ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations; strong stakeholder management; adept at simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with a drive to learn.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to connect data insights to business outcomes.

  • Statistics & ML: Familiarity with applied statistics and basic machine learning concepts (A/B testing, statistical significance, regression, causal impact).

  • Data Engineering: Experience combining data sources, building repeatable datasets, and applying performance and quality best practices.

  • Collaboration: Team-oriented with a willingness to mentor junior colleagues.

  • AI/LLM Tools: Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to automate workflows, accelerate analyses, and scale insight delivery.

Why Join Us

  • High visibility and measurable impact across the business.

  • Opportunity to lead analytics workstreams and influence data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborative environment focused on growth, mentoring, and leveraging modern tools (including AI) to scale impact.
