Senior Director, Partnerships and Alliances
The Senior Director, Partnerships and Alliances is accountable for building and scaling Thomson Reuters' next-generation partner ecosystem by originating, structuring, and landing transformational strategic partnerships aligned to enterprise and segment growth priorities. This leader owns the end-to-end net-new partner acquisition portfolio—from ecosystem strategy and target selection through executive alignment, deal architecture, negotiation, contract execution, and launch governance—ensuring partnerships deliver measurable impact across revenue, product differentiation (including AI-led innovation), market access, and customer outcomes.
This role operates at the enterprise level, serving as a key advisor to senior executives, influencing cross-functional operating models, and establishing repeatable mechanisms to scale partner acquisition.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Senior Director, Partnerships & Alliances, you will:
- Partner strategy & pipeline: Define where-to-play/how-to-win, target archetypes, and maintain a multi-year partner pipeline aligned to company objectives.
- Market intelligence & prioritization: Track ecosystem/competitive trends, identify whitespace, and prioritize partnership opportunities by fit, customer value, and revenue potential.
- Diligence & business cases: Frame joint customer problems and value propositions, build GTM hypotheses, quantify TAM/ICP, model revenue/ROI, and define success metrics/risks.
- Executive alignment & governance: Secure C-level sponsorship, establish decision paths/cadence, align resourcing, and document commitments from concept through execution.
- Deal structuring & contracting: Lead commercial architecture and negotiations (including data/AI considerations), coordinate Legal/Finance/Security, and close scalable agreements.
- Joint business planning: Create measurable joint plans (targets, GTM motions, marketing, operating model, timelines, owners) aligned to segment priorities.
- Launch readiness & enablement: Orchestrate cross-functional launch planning across Sales/Product/Marketing/CX, including enablement and operational readiness.
- GTM execution & sales outcomes: Drive quarterly execution, manage partner-sourced/influenced pipeline, ensure forecasting rigor, and support closing plans.
- Field scaling & relationship management: Build repeatable plays/playbooks and drive adoption across regions while managing senior partner/stakeholder cadence (QBRs/steercos) and escalations.
- Performance management & org capability: Own KPIs/dashboards/executive reporting, drive optimizations, align to product/AI roadmaps, and mentor/codify best practices as needed.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Director, Partnerships & Alliances - Corporates if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred with 10 years of experience in Partnerships & Alliances, partner end to end, partner program management, business development, including managing complex, multi-region accounts within the software/SaaS industry.
- 10 years of team leadership and management, including executive-level engagement.
- Strong experience working with global technology platform providers (e.g. ERPs), systems integrators and global accounting and consulting firms
- Proven operational leader who can design, build, scale, and mature partner programs that drive revenue growth.
- Strategic, innovative thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to execute independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including expert business case development and financial modeling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence; able to influence across levels and functions.
- Skilled at developing and sustaining deep relationships with partners and internal stakeholders to align priorities and deliver results.
- Demonstrated global leadership experience building, managing, and developing high-performing teams, with strong awareness of customer needs and AI/software market trends and competitive dynamics.

The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $157,500 USD - $292,500 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
