You will help build the next generation of AI-powered experiences and the underlying patterns that ensure every experience meets a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and trust.

Expedia Product & Technology builds innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences for the traveler and our partners that drive loyalty and customer satisfaction.

The core platform analytics and AI team builds AI and ML platform capabilities which help internal employee productivity use cases as well as support agentic experiences for our travelers and partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and drive the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Expedia Group’s AI and ML platforms, ensuring they enable reusable, scalable capabilities across multiple product domains and lines of business.
  • Translate complex AI/ML platform opportunities into clear, prioritized problem statements and outcomes, aligning senior stakeholders across engineering, data science, product, and business teams.
  • Partner with architecture, engineering, and data science leaders to guide system design, APIs, and data models for AI/ML platforms that are secure, compliant, observable, and easily consumable by product teams.
  • Establish and own success metrics for AI/ML platform adoption and performance, using data and experimentation to refine capabilities and drive continuous improvement across services and domains.
  • Champion safe, responsible, and high-impact use of AI, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, ensuring they are integrated and operated in ways that improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Serve as a cross-domain thought leader, identifying and evangelizing platform patterns and capabilities that unlock fungible AI/ML solutions usable by multiple teams, products, and experiences across Expedia Group.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience involving large-scale platforms or data-intensive systems.
  • Extensive product management experience leading platform, data, or AI/ML products, including end-to-end ownership of multi-service or multi-domain capabilities in complex technical environments.
  • Proven ability to work closely with engineering and data science teams on system design, API contracts, data modeling, and technical trade-offs for AI/ML or data platforms.
  • Demonstrated track record of defining strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes for technical platforms, and driving broad stakeholder alignment at the organizational level.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, and with safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes for both internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research) with experience applying these disciplines to large-scale product or platform initiatives.
  • Deep experience building or product-managing AI/ML platforms, feature stores, model lifecycle tools, or inference/serving infrastructure that support high-volume, global consumer applications.
  • Proven leadership driving architecture and product direction for complex technical platforms, including defining reusable APIs, shared data models, and governance frameworks that support multiple domains and organizations.
  • Strong track record of operational excellence for AI/ML-enabled systems, including reliability, performance, observability, and safety, and the ability to use data, experimentation, and causal analysis to inform platform decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, including AI/ML capabilities, with an additional focus on safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes and setting AI strategy and guardrails appropriate to a distinguished-level product leadership role.
