DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Global Transformation Office - Operations Coach to join our team specializing in General Management for Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Drive Strategic Alignment By collaborating with business management to identify short- and long-term projects, you ensure initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.
  • Enable Informed Decision-Making Your feasibility analyses and project planning expertise help stakeholders make data-driven decisions about timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Strengthen Project Delivery By advising and assisting Project Managers in issue resolution and risk assessment, you reduce delays and improve project outcomes.
  • Promote Quality and Risk Management Coaching Project Managers on quality tools and change management approaches enhances resilience and minimizes project risks.
  • Optimize Resource Utilization Ensuring cross-functional collaboration and reviewing documentation helps teams leverage diverse expertise and maintain consistency across projects.
  • Monitor and Improve Performance Tracking success measures and project statuses enables you to identify trends, address challenges early, and continuously improve processes.
  • Develop Leadership and Team Capability Through delegation, feedback, and coaching, you build a high-performing team of Project Managers, fostering growth and long-term organizational success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Leadership and Delegation Skills Ability to provide clear direction, delegate effectively, and remove obstacles so your team can deliver results efficiently.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Capability Skill in managing complexity by interpreting large volumes of information, identifying patterns, and making sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Expertise in Change Management Proficiency in applying structured processes and tools to guide individuals and teams through change, ensuring adoption and sustained business outcomes.
  • Advanced Project Management Competence Ability to balance scope, schedule, and resources while ensuring projects deliver their intended impact and results are fully realized.

You will be instrumental in embedding execution excellence across the enterprise—transforming not just how we work, but how we think and lead.

GTO is your business transformation partner for execution excellence—equipping teams with practical tools, frameworks, and methodologies to close performance gaps and deliver outsized value. We build internal capability in disciplined execution, performance accountability, and leadership behaviors that foster a culture of ownership and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curate the Execution Excellence Playbook Develop a comprehensive guide modeled after the Cummins-RTS approach. Include foundational elements for peer networks and an advanced guide for GTO practitioners, covering program health assessments, diagnostics, and triage protocols.
  • Coach Executive Sponsors on Set-Up Engagements Ensure transformation programs are set up for success.
  • Build and deploy readiness assessments to evaluate launch conditions and guide sponsor preparation.
  • Diagnose and Reset In-Flight Programs Lead turnaround efforts for underperforming initiatives. Apply structured problem-solving and triage methods to restore momentum and value delivery.
  • Seed Execution Excellence Across the Enterprise Champion the framework and embed it into transformation, integration, and operational models. Build capability through coaching, training, and role modeling.
  • Develop Intake and Prioritization Tools Create assessment mechanisms to prioritize GTO engagements based on ROI, business priority, leadership readiness and GTO resource availability.
  • Build and Evolve the Execution Excellence AI Agent Design and grow a digital assistant that learns from common execution challenges and recommends proven solutions.
