Our Dassault Systemes NuoDB Orchestration (ORCA) team is excited to announce we have a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office!  We are looking for a highly-motivated and skilled software engineering intern who wants to learn about distributed databases and orchestration systems, and help us deliver key functionality in the process.

The NuoDB Orchestration (ORCA) team builds tools for deploying, monitoring, and managing NuoDB databases, enabling operations like coordinated backup, rolling upgrade, and key rotation to be performed with no downtime. The ORCA team leverages Kubernetes to allow databases to automatically recover from failures, and has developed a “Database as a Service” solution (DBaaS) for NuoDB that is used internally and planned for external usage.

In this role you will:

●        Collaborate with team members to design and develop new features and fix bugs

●        Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

●        Participate in code reviews with team members

●        Troubleshoot and debug software issues

●        Be enrolled in a Masters’ degree program for Computer Science or related field

●        Strong proficiency in Java and Python

●        Knowledge of multi-threading and algorithms

●        Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

●        Experience with a version control system (preferably Git)

●        Good written and verbal communication skills

In addition to working with your direct team, as a member of Dassault Systemes NAM Intern Program you will be invited to our Speaker Series, Lunch and Learns, Networking Events and employee functions.
