We’re building a more open world. Join us.

Introduction to the team

Checkout is the highest-anxiety, highest-leverage moment in the traveler funnel — yet today it's often a static, one-size-fits-all experience that ignores past preferences, fails to predict intent, and offers no real-time reassurance when hesitation strikes. This generic approach drives abandonment and leaves substantial revenue on the table. We're looking for a Product Manager III to own and drive the personalization and AI-powered checkout transformation — combining predictive personalization with real-time interventions to convert checkout from a friction point into a conversion engine.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Define and execute product strategies and roadmaps for checkout personalization and AI-driven interventions, using data and experimentation to drive prioritization and decision-making across predictive and adaptive personalization domains.

  • Translate customer, partner, and business needs into clear problem statements, detailed requirements, and acceptance criteria — delivering high-quality product specifications, including API contracts, P13N signal integrations, and data needs to engineering teams.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, and stakeholder teams to drive end-to-end delivery of personalization features and AI-powered interventions, ensuring scalable system design, reliable integrations, and strong operational performance.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to monitor product performance, continuously iterate on features, and manage trade-offs across usability, performance, technical constraints, and business impact — with a focus on conversion, abandonment recovery, and traveler confidence.

  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled, data-driven product capabilities that improve traveler outcomes — including predictive models for abandonment risk, and propensity-based personalization — in partnership with data science and engineering teams.

  • Influence cross-functional teams and partner groups, aligning them around a clear product vision and outcomes, and ensure effective communication of priorities, risks, and progress across multiple workstreams (P13N, checkout, AI/ML, experimentation).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical, analytical, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in product delivery within technology organizations.

  • Professional experience as a Product Manager, including ownership of a product, feature set, or service from discovery through launch and iteration, working with engineering and design in an agile environment.

  • Proven ability to define product requirements, write clear user stories or PRDs, interpret data and metrics, and use experimentation or A/B testing to inform roadmap decisions for consumer facing products.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with engineering on system behavior, API-level requirements, data flows, and dependencies to ensure robust, scalable, and reliable product solutions.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products in partnership with engineering, data science, or analytics teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, including defining success metrics, validating problem-solution fit, and managing iterative releases at scale — ideally in personalization, conversion optimization, or checkout/funnel domains.

  • Experience leading product strategy in complex technical environments, including partnering with engineering on system design, integration patterns, and operational readiness.

  • Track record of driving measurable impact using data, experimentation, and customer insights; comfortable working with analytics, experimentation platforms, and instrumentation requirements — particularly in high-traffic, high-stakes conversion funnels.

  • Experience influencing cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders, resolving conflicting priorities, and driving alignment on roadmaps and trade-offs across multiple teams or domains.

  • Experience leveraging AI productivity tools (Cursor, Claude, Figma AI) and low-code agent platforms (Alloy, n8n) to accelerate product development and automate workflows is preferred.
