The Fin Solutions Sr. Lead Analyst is a pivotal leader driving strategic finance transformation, specifically within the Strategic Ledger program, which focuses on a cloud-based implementation to transform financial books and records. This role is responsible for the strategic direction and development of cutting-edge data distribution products, spanning from the Strategic Ledger cloud platform to various consumers across regulatory, financial, liquidity, risk, and operational reporting domains. The candidate will have a strong working understanding of both processes and data that impact the distribution of data to consumers, and act as a champion for changes that are being proposed to the architecture. As the initiative is a multi-year program, the candidate will uplift the delivery model and approach by embedding lessons learned from each prior delivery cycle.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Leadership & Vision:

  • Proactively identify and assess market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting financial data distribution.

  • Govern how ledger changes are absorbed, versioned, and communicated to downstream consumers.
  • Translate complex business requirements related to financial ledger data into a clear and actionable product roadmap.
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies between the transformation program and competing initiatives and programs across the Finance, Risk and Technology landscape
  • Balance modernization velocity with financial control and operational

Financial Data Product Management Expertise:

  • Develop and manage the product lifecycle for data products originating from the financial ledger, including ledger balances and journals.

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for outbound financial data products serving:
    • General Ledger (journals & balances)
    • Sub-ledger aggregation Financial close & controls
    • Regulatory and management reporting
    • Capital, liquidity, and risk analytics
  • Ensure data distribution capabilities meet stringent requirements for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Drive the enhancement of data aggregation, consolidation, and operational reporting functionalities.
  • Translate complex business requirements related to financial ledger reconciliation, workflow optimization, and data analytics into a clear and actionable product roadmap.
  • Ensure all data utility products adhere strictly to financial and regulatory reporting standards and internal compliance frameworks, particularly in demonstrating the integrity of financial books and records through reconciliation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (finance, regulatory, risk), technology teams (data engineering, IT), and external partners.

  • Champion customer needs and pain points related to financial data consumption, ensuring they are integrated into product development and prioritization.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels regarding product updates, timelines, and strategic direction, particularly concerning critical financial data flows.
  • Present complex data and platform topics in clear, outcome-oriented executive narratives
  • Prepares proposals and executive communication artifacts to influence and drive consensus across Senior Executives as part of the Data distribution mandate

Technical Acumen & Data Distribution Proficiency:

  • Possess a strong understanding of financial data architecture, data modeling, and distribution mechanisms.
  • Guide the implementation of robust data controls, including data lineage, tracing, data quality rules, and exception resolution, specific to financial ledger data.
  • Leverage expertise in data flow technologies (e.g., APIs, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes) to optimize the delivery of financial data.
  • Explore and integrate advanced data delivery solutions (e.g., real-time streaming, cloud-based data platforms) for scalable financial data distribution.

Compliance & Reporting Focus:

  • Ensure all data distribution products adhere strictly to financial and regulatory reporting standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BASEL, SACCR, IFRS, GAAP) and internal compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure product outputs meet requirements for: IFRS / US GAAP; BCBS 239; Basel III / IV; RWA (Credit, Market, OpRisk); Liquidity (LCR, NSFR); Stress Testing (CCAR, ICAAP, ILAAP)
  • Oversee the integration of compliance and audit requirements directly into the product design and delivery process, focusing on transparent and auditable reconciliation outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, develop roadmaps, and drive execution in complex, fast-paced environments, with a focus on delivering AI-enabled data utility tools for financial reconciliation. Strong problem solving skills with an ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to deliver compelling presentations and engage effectively with C-Suite leaders.
  • Financial Books & Records Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial books and records, consolidated ledger reporting, management reporting, RWA, and the intricacies of reconciliation processes between diverse financial systems.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of financial control, GL reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, and consolidated financial reporting within a global financial institution.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred. In depth knowledge of banking products / systems highly preferred
  • Product Management Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in project and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and Agile / Lean methodologies.
  • Strong Data Analytics Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis, identify patterns, quantify differences, and derive actionable insights from large financial datasets (e.g. Python, Alteryx, KNIME, etc.)
  • Data Utility & AI Technologies: Expertise in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions, workflow automation, and integrating AI/ML models for financial data processing, comparison, and reconciliation 
  • Data Governance & Quality: Proven ability to implement and manage data lineage, robust data quality frameworks, and exception resolution processes for Controllers and Finance. Define and enforce product governance covering SLA/ SLO definitions for Financial data.

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
