Role Overview The Manager, Inside Sales (M3) leads a medium sized team or multiple small teams of Account Representatives (ARs), achieving results by directing work through associate managers, team leads, and professional employees. This role is responsible for developing and executing long term operational plans, ensuring sales targets are met, guiding customer account planning, maintaining forecast accuracy, and coordinating resources across sales teams. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to align teams around customer and revenue objectives. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership • Manage and direct the work of a medium sized team or multiple small inside sales teams, achieving results through associate managers, team leads, and individual contributors. Sales Target Achievement • Ensure Account Representatives consistently achieve 100% of sales targets and quota goals. Strategy & Operational Planning • Develop and execute long term operational plans that include financial, organizational, and business growth considerations. Account Planning & Guidance • Provide leadership and guidance to teams on customer account planning and drive continuous improvement in planning quality. Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Oversight • Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and reporting quality of sales forecasts and pipeline health across teams. Resource & Ecosystem Coordination • Coordinate resources across sales teams to ensure adequate pipeline coverage, quality, and performance. • Identify and escalate partner capability or capacity gaps to ecosystem teams when applicable. Skills & Competencies • Leadership & Communication: Develops communication strategies that engage, align, and motivate sales teams. • Strategic Planning: Builds and executes long term plans aligned to business strategy. • Customer & Market Understanding: Guides teams using strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. • Value Articulation: Clearly communicates the value of Autodesk solutions in ways that resonate with customers and partners. • Relationship Building: Cultivates strong, trust based relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. • Strategic Orientation: Positions solutions and selling strategies to drive measurable customer and business value. ATU (Account Team Unit) Collaboration • Team Based Selling: Lead ARs in coordinating with sales development teams, technical specialists, and sales specialists to support integrated selling motions. • Best Practices Sharing: Facilitate cross regional collaboration for large accounts and establish frameworks for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. • Partner Connections: Build strong partnerships between Autodesk sellers and Partner Managers to deliver customer value. • Demand Generation: Collaborate with Autodesk and partner marketing teams to drive demand for new logo acquisition and expansion. • Customer Success Alignment: Partner with Customer Success, renewals, and partner management teams to ensure customer milestones and renewals are achieved. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or revenue generating sales roles, preferably within a technology or SaaS environment. • 2+ years of people management experience, leading sales professionals, team leads, or associate managers. • Demonstrated success leading teams to achieve or exceed sales targets and quotas. • Experience driving operational planning, account strategy execution, and sales forecasting. • Strong leadership, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills. • Experience coordinating resources across sales, partner, and marketing organizations. Preferred Qualifications • Experience managing inside sales or account development teams in a scaled sales environment. • Background in subscription, SaaS, or consumption based business models. • Experience working within partner led or hybrid go to market motions. • Experience leading teams across regions or in distributed team models. • Familiarity with CRM forecasting tools, pipeline analytics, and sales performance dashboards. • Experience collaborating closely with Customer Success, Renewals, and Technical Sales teams. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $114,800 and $205,700. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
