About the role

As a member of the Business Data team, you will play a key role in shaping data-driven decisions and enhancing customer experiences across our products. Your work will directly influence business strategy and the value we deliver to our users.

As A Senior Data Engineer, You Will Get To:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from diverse sources.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate and improve team processes.

  • Rapidly learn new business domains and work closely with partners to understand and support evolving data needs.

  • Develop and evolve data models that support business use cases and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Champion engineering best practices by reviewing designs and code, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring team members.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $148,600.00 - $237,400.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont the standard base pay range for this role is $141,200.00 - $225,600.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining data-intensive applications.

  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets.

  • Proficiency with modern data technologies such as Spark and Airflow.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling to translate business requirements into flexible data structures.

  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability of production data systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across teams and functions.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Databricks, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
