Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technology leadership to a strong engineering team
  • Design and implement micro-services, implement telemetry solutions, and build CI/CD pipelines
  • Good technical skills to understand complex designs, implement big and complex systems
  • Design and implement business rules using rule engine platforms (e.g., Drools, IBM ODM, OpenL Tablets, etc.)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze rule requirements
  • Translate business logic into rule definitions and decision tables
  • Integrate rule engines with enterprise applications and services
  • Optimize and refactor existing rules for performance and maintainability
  • Conduct unit testing and support QA and UAT processes
  • Maintain documentation for rules, logic, and decision flows
  • Monitor and troubleshoot rule execution issues in production environments
  • Must have hands-on implementation experience, should be able to design, implement key application features, be an active part of an Agile Scrum team
  • Monitor application health and performance as part of DevSecOps
  • Create innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and to improve the overall health and reliability of the applications
  • Define coding standards and best practices
  • Coach and mentor other developers in the team
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering
  • 4+ years of strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring and Hibernate/Spring Data JPA
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful services using spring boot
  • 3+ years of experience in rule engine development
  • 2+ years of cloud experience preferrable Azure
  • Hands-on experience with one or more rule engine platforms (e.g., Camunda, Drools, IBM ODM, Red Hat Decision Manager)
  • Solid working experience on BPMN & DMN
  • Hands-on experience in Kafka and data streaming is good to have.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
  • Experience development/ maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases -
    Agile delivery experience
  • Solid understanding of business rules management systems (BRMS).
    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Have a good understanding and experience in Performance tuning and engineering

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in domain-specific rule modeling (e.g., Health Care Prior Authorization, underwriting, Population health etc.)
  • Experience delivering software using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience in Kafka or other event streaming technologies
  • Experience in Docker, Azure, Jenkins, Grafana, Splunk
  • Experience working in a DevOps model
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Exposure or experience in working on Camunda platform
  • Knowledge of decision modeling standards like DMN (Decision Model and Notation)
  • Proven solid communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment while maintaining adherence to standards and best practices
