Job Description

Visa Commercial Solutions is building the next generation of B2B payments, modernizing how businesses pay and get paid at scale. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Next Generation B2B Payments Platform to help define, build, and scale a highly strategic platform that enables new B2B spend flows, supports Flexible Interchange, and displaces legacy payment methods such as check, ACH, wire, and EFT.

This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, product execution, and technology delivery, with responsibility for translating strategic priorities into scalable product capabilities delivered across Visa’s commercial ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Own and evolve key components of Visa’s Next Generation B2B Payments Platform, including capabilities that enable flexible payment execution, pricing, and scale.
  • Drive product development related to Flexible Interchange, partnering across product, technology, and commercial teams to enable differentiated pricing and value delivery in B2B payments.
  • Translate platform strategy into clear product roadmaps, feature definitions, and delivery milestones, balancing near‑term execution with long‑term platform evolution.
  • Partner closely with engineering, architecture, operations, risk, and compliance teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable B2B payment solutions.
  • Define product requirements, success metrics, and operating models that modernize B2B payment flows while improving client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure product development aligns with market needs and client outcomes.
  • Support go‑to‑market readiness through product narratives, value propositions, and commercialization planning in partnership with sales and client teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned platform capabilities, representing product direction internally and with select clients and partners.

Product Development & Delivery Environment

  • Operate within a structured product development environment using Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, based on platform and release requirements.
  • Use standard product and delivery tools such as Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and execution tracking, and Confluence or similar tools for documentation and requirements alignment.
  • Participate in core delivery rituals including roadmap planning, sprint reviews, dependency management, and release readiness.
  • Translate business and product requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support efficient engineering execution.
  • Ensure alignment with Visa’s broader software development lifecycle (SDLC), including architecture reviews, security, risk, and compliance checkpoints.

Why This Role Matters

This role directly supports Visa’s strategy to scale B2B direct spend through a platform‑first approach, combining Next Generation payment capabilities with Flexible Interchange to unlock new value for clients. The work will shape how modern B2B payment solutions are built, priced, and delivered at global scale.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

This role is not eligible for immigration/sponsorship, including but not limited to J-1, F-1, CPT, or OPT and employment-based sponsorship such as: H-1B, H-1B1,E-3, O-1, TN and any EAD card holders that may need assistance in the future.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 7+ years of product management experience, preferably within payments, fintech, financial services, or large‑scale platform environments.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, API‑driven or platform‑based products in close partnership with engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of B2B payments, commercial card, supplier payments, interchange, or adjacent money movement solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience working with Agile and Waterfall development models in enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent systems used for backlog management and execution tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, driving products from concept through delivery.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments with strong attention to controls, risk, and operational rigor.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across product, technology, and business stakeholders.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 152,200 to 270,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
