NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Account Executive, Lifecycle Marketing, based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

The Account Executive, Lifecycle Marketing, executes lifecycle marketing campaigns across email, SMS, app/push notifications, direct mail, and other relevant channels. The Account Executive, as part of the Lifecycle Marketing team, creates, executes, and optimizes direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns that drive fan engagement and customer lifetime value.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Build, QA, and manage the approval process for omni-channel lifecycle marketing campaigns, with a primary focus on 1:1 owned-and-operated channels (e.g., email, SMS) for 1st-party audiences. 
  • Ideate, create, and manage submission of creative briefs for fan communication needs.
  • Set and manage campaign timelines, in partnership with marketing leadership. 
  • Ensure accurate and consistent messaging across campaign assets. 
  • Evaluate requested edits from other departments and assist with input and management within a project management system.
  • Manage and communicate processes and best practices with internal stakeholders to optimize the impact of lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on campaign recaps, focusing on identifying and implementing optimizations. 
  • Partner with the web team to ensure that links are correct and traffic sent from lifecycle marketing campaigns will be optimized to drive conversions.
  • Attend and track notes from regular meetings with internal teams, as well as cross-departmental touchpoints with data strategy, admissions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Travel: 5%, including select weekends and events

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, public relations, sports management, and/or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Direct experience with a marketing automation tool preferred.               
  • Proficient in all company-provided software, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management and communication tools (e.g. Adobe Workfront) preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about sports and marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to earn trust with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Working knowledge of B2C email and SMS best practices and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing channels, contextualize results against broader business performance, and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to present concise and clear information on lifecycle campaign initiatives.
