OnsiteSystems engineering is all about collaboration. On this systems engineering team specifically, you will collaborate on projects related to Open System Architectures for the Department of Defense. Open System Architectures are an emerging set of Industry-wide requirements intended to standardize hardware and software interfaces for data systems (comm, sensor, or other mission data) such that new and emerging capabilities can be very rapidly developed, fielded, and integrated.

What You Will Do:
Perform in the role of lead systems engineer on a program, which includes some of the following responsibilities:
- YOU will coordinate the generation and delivery of customer deliverables—inclusive of documentation, hardware, and software.
- YOU will initiate collaboration across engineering disciplines to prepare material and present at program milestone events, such as PDR, CDR, and TRR
- YOU will oversee model-based systems engineering efforts
- YOU will support Bid and Proposal for new business pursuits
- YOU will travel domestically 1 – 4 times per year
What You Will Learn:
- YOU will gain technical experience on Open System Architectures
- YOU will obtain invaluable experience in model-based systems engineering tools and best practices
- YOU will learn implementation of modern defense data technologies and capabilities
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong Preference for current DoD Secret Clearance
- High level understanding of communication theory, networking, and / or digital processing
- Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary project team
- Background supporting DoD contracts, from bid and proposal through contract award and execution to program closeout
- Expertise with Model Based Systems Engineering, including Cameo or similar tools
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, and/or C
