Skills and Competencies
- Should have basic understanding of market sizing analysis including Total Addressable Market creation
- Nice to have understanding of data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI)
- Experience in Excel/pivot tables/VBA/Macros/SQL
- Enjoy working with numbers and have extreme attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills, written and spoken
Education
- Education in Sales, Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, Marketing, Statistics or Data Analysis
- Should have preliminary knowledge of B2B marketing, including customer segmentation, demand generation, ABM (Account Based Marketing)
Responsibilities
- An intern on the Insurance Sales team will work on projects that contribute to the day-to-day activities and objectives of the Sales team
- You will have the opportunity to work like any other member of the Sales teams, participating in team meetings, trainings and occasional customer calls.
- Project work may involve product-market fit, sales territory and addressable market analyses for a variety of insurance company types and use cases including stress testing, asset and liability management, underwriting (P&C, life and casualty) portfolio risk management, etc
About the Program
Through our 2025 Sales Internships, you’ll gain valuable experience in a wide variety of business areas. This role includes exposure to the fast-paced world of Insurtech sales and the critical aspects of market segmentation, addressable market and product-market fit. At the end of the summer, you will be required to present your work to a diverse team of business leaders at Moody’s.
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35.
