🪄 That's what awaited participants at Meta’s legendary Hackathon, an exciting two-week adventure that took place September 14 - 28, 2022, with daily challenges, tech talks and more.

Event Agenda:

  • Day 1 (Wednesday 14th)

Welcome with Ime Archibong, Head of New Product Experimentation at Meta. Explore the site, build your own avatar, and visit the “Network Inn” to prepare for your quest.

  • Day 2 (Thursday 15th)

The first Coding Challenge begins. And today’s the day you’ll decide whether or not to join the Product Thinking Challenge.

  • Day 3 (Friday 16th)

A Linux Challenge. Hear from Dedi Gadot, Director of Engineering, Facebook Reality Labs at Facebook, on the “The future of the Metaverse”.

  • Day 4 (Saturday 17th)

Keeping it light with a short Quiz.

  • Day 5 (Sunday 18th)

Find the Bug. Want to sharpen your entomological technique? Investigate the latest Workshop.

  • Day 6 (Monday 19th)

Week two begins. Level up with a Coding Challenge.

  • Day 7 (Tuesday 20th)

Seeking knowledge? Join a Meta expert and delve into their first Tech Symposium. Seeking more intense challenge? Gird yourself for today’s Coding Challenge.

  • Day 8 (Wednesday 21st)

Choose your Product Thinking champion. Then brace yourself for a Coding Challenge.

  • Day 9 (Thursday 22nd)

Curious to see who will go on to Round 2 of the Product Thinking challenge? While you’re waiting, try the next 15-minute Coding Challenge.

  • Day 10 (Friday 23rd)

Prove your might by taking on the next Coding Challenge.

  • Day 11 (Saturday 24th)

A moment to pause, reflect, and take a brief Careers Quiz.

  • Day 12 (Sunday 25th)

Uh-oh, the bugs are back. Find the Bug once and for all.

  • Day 13 (Monday 26th)

Your presence is requested at the Tech Symposium on Infrastructure, Enterprise and Security. Submit all entries for Round 2 of the Product Thinking Challenge.

And… for once and for all, conquer the dreaded Daily Coding Challenge.

  • Day 14 (Tuesday 27th)

The final day. One last opportunity to earn points and achieve Hackathon immortality (and maybe win a legendary prize).

  • Day 15 (Wednesday 28th)

Congratulations. You’ve achieved Hackathon champion status. Celebrate at the Closing Ceremony and revel in your glory.
