During a keynote address from Shannon Schuyler, PwC’s Chief Purpose and Inclusion Officer, participants discovered how PwC has doubled down on efforts to lean into their purpose and values to guide the firm’s transformative shift into The New Equation. Shannon also shared information about PwC’s new ways of working and how the firm supports their professionals.

Shannon is PwC’s US Chief Purpose & Inclusion Officer—a position that brings together unique insights and perspectives from her prior roles as Chief Purpose Officer and Responsible Business Leader. The combination recognizes the responsibilities we have to realize a diverse culture infused with purpose and belonging for our people. This nexus supports our ability to embrace our people's full identities, create thriving workplaces and address opportunity gaps that exist within our communities.

Shannon’s work helps activate PwC’s purpose—to build trust in society and solve important problems—and further embed it into PwC’s business and people strategies. She connects purpose with belonging, creating an environment that celebrates identity, and drives innovation and business value.

In support of our US Chair and Senior Partner Tim Ryan, Shannon also leads CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In this role, she drives the strategy for engaging nearly 2,000 company CEOs and academic institutions and associations.

Shannon has been featured in WSJ, Forbes, Fortune, Working Mother, Huffington Post and more. She was named a 2019 World Changing Woman in Conscious Business by Conscious Company Media, and was included on Fast Company’s list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2016. Shannon lives in Chicago with her husband and son.
