Our team plays a critical role in shaping the company’s approach to managing credit, market, liquidity, operational, and strategic risks.
Your Impact:
As an Audit professional on our team, you will be supporting, partnering, or leading end-to-end audit services focused on different Freddie Mac business functions. As part of the Third Line of Defense, you will work closely with risk partners in the Second Line of Defense and practitioners in the First Line of Defense. Through your executive presence, you build strong relationships at all levels.

The anticipated annualized base salary range for these positions is $100,000 to $120,000, and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven, professional experience in internal audit, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Proficient understanding of fundamental audit skills including risk/control assessments, setting testing strategy, root cause analysis, audit documentation and audit methodology; be able to provide behavioral examples of your experience.
- Experience in coaching/training, workpaper reviews and providing timely written project evaluations.
- CIA or CPA certification required at more senior levels, strongly preferred for junior level roles. Strong desire to earn your certification if you do not have one.
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry and able to speak to your knowledge.
- Experience auditing financial institutions strongly preferred.
- IT Audit requires experience focused on Information & Technology risk.
