Your role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day portfolio management of the fixed income ETF and indexed strategies at Invesco. You will interact closely with the team to enhance our in-house quant solutions utilising strong programming skills in Python and a solid understanding of ETFs, portfolio modelling, currency hedging, financial markets, benchmarks (index), trading and index-based management. You will be a part of a global PM team.
What we are looking for:
- Daily portfolio management of Fixed Income index-based ETFs and indexed strategies with the aim of creating an optimal portfolio that effectively tracks the underlying benchmark
- Work with the quant team to support, improve and enhance our in-house quant solutions
- Responsible for daily risk management including good-to-trade reconciliation process, corporate action management, new issues' participation, cash management, index reconciliation, performance and trade cost analysis
- Work with the global PMs to ensure that all portfolios are within allowable risk, compliance and regulatory guidelines
- Gain a thorough understanding of the global ETF infrastructure and process flow with the aim to continuously improve the investment process and promote scalability in indexed strategies
- Should build thorough understanding of the fixed income benchmarks and work with the providers to ensure that the data is clean and good to trade
- Understand the underlying investment strategies and accordingly collaborate with central dealing desk on executing the orders
- Communicate with APs/market makers to facilitate in-kind ETF flows. Help broaden our broker network to source bonds
What you can bring:
- Prior experience in managing or helping manage Fixed Income portfolios would be a plus
- Prior experience in managing any passive assets or ETFs would be great asset
- Excellent programming skills required in Python, SQL and VBA
- Experience in other programming languages is a plus
- Knowledge of the global fixed income markets, prior portfolio management or trading experience and the ability to provide market colour are preferred skills
- High proficiency in any of the following PM systems is considered a plus: Aladdin, Bloomberg, Charles River
- Strong analytical skills to analyse and interpret various market data and apply such information to written reports and oral presentations
- Ability to make quick decisions, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information under stressful conditions
- Desire to work closely in team environment with fellow portfolio managers and global teams
- CFA and/or MBA (or progress towards CFA designation) is preferred, but not required
- Degree in finance or quantitative finance would be a plus
