Manager & Counsel: As a member of the General Counsel’s Organization (“GCO”) the Manager & Counsel will provide key legal support and guidance to the Global and Large (G&L) segment of the Global Commercial Services (GCS) business. The Manager and Counsel will work closely with business partners, legal professionals in the GCO, as well as stakeholders across the enterprise, to provide support on legal issues of varying complexity.
Here is just some of what you’ll do in this role:
Global and Large

Serve as the trusted advisor to U.S. GCS Global and Large (G&L) Client Management businesses and provide thought leadership to senior leadership on legal risks involved in current relationships, advise on escalations, and analyze new and existing constructs, including financial terms, information security and privacy addenda, etc.

Partner with U.S. GCS Line of Business Compliance, Risk, Privacy, Pricing, Finance and Operational Excellence as required to support existing clients and support new sales/retention and B2B expansion initiatives, as well as providing legal support and advice for issue management.

Collaborate with different stakeholders, including subject matter experts, and global GCO colleagues, among others, to provide strategic guidance on process improvements in pricing, credit risk initiatives, and issue management.

Lead negotiations of complex commercial card program agreements, including reviewing RFP proposals, and provide legal guidance and interpretation support for financial constructs.

Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. with admission to practice law in the United States 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal environment.

Experience assessing and advising on legal risks associated with complex transactions in the financial services industry.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
