What You Will Do:
In this highly visible role, the Manager, Manufacturing Operations will drive industrial rate readiness throughout the Value Stream for the Military Engines development programs. This person will also have the unique opportunity to partner with the research and development team
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations is responsible for working with the program to drive the delivery, quality, and cost goals, while also focusing on identifying and mitigating risk in the short to long term.
- Delivery assurance, supply chain sourcing and mitigation, operation assessments, ensuring timely transitions execution, with creation and completion of industrial plans
- Manage critical engineering changes to keep program commitment dates; development also encompasses new product introduction
- Support all program activities with the coordination and maintenance of the program industrial plan along with CIPTs, Module Centers, Partner Companies and Global Supply Chain
- Monitor part improvements through a series of Key Process Indicators and standard delivery metrics
- Support testing operations and work closely in vendor/partner relationships. Work closely with subject matter design and manufacturing engineering to help problem solve and mitigate risks
- Up to 25% regional, domestic travel
- Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance, as Military Engines development programs are classified in nature
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or similar industrial environment; OR Master's Degree with 5 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience balancing and resolving conflicting priorities in a fluctuating environment
- SAP/MRP experience
- Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering
