A leading provider of manufacturing software solutions is seeking a Solution Architect with expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), focusing on clients across North America. This role involves working closely with customers to deploy advanced software solutions aimed at optimizing profitability and reducing costs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert and lead consultant in delivering MES solutions throughout pre-sales and post-sales processes.
- Collaborate with the sales team to secure technical aspects of customer orders.
- Conduct workshops with customer experts to analyze and document manufacturing processes.
- Define data flows, analyze organizational structures, and identify production needs to optimize customer operations.
- Assess customer architecture to document technical solutions for MES implementation.
- Deliver training sessions, provide technical guidance, and troubleshoot implementation challenges.
- Guide solution engineers and oversee the development of custom software modules.
- Use MES data to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing workflows.
- Strategize and provide recommendations on software solutions to enhance production operations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, either as a subject matter expert or a lead consultant for comprehensive solutions.
- Stay updated on product developments and share manufacturing-specific expertise with internal teams.
- Spend part of each week collaborating with peers at the office.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production logistics.
- Over five years of experience with MES or plant-wide software solutions.
- Broad IT expertise (e.g., networking, databases, remote access).
- Proven track record of introducing software systems into manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Experience interacting with management, engineers, and operators at various organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- High levels of reliability, flexibility, self-motivation, and collaboration.
- Professional demeanor and work ethic.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or German is a plus.
- Experience with scripting or coding (e.g., C#, JSON, REST) is advantageous.
